Into the deep.
Project description:
We were honored to develop the visual design for the temporary exhibition “Into the deep. Mines of the Future” at the Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen. With this interdisciplinary exhibition, the Zeppelin Museum takes a critical perspective on the raw material aluminum and the complex connections between the mining of raw materials in deep sea and deep space mining.
We enjoyed working with charcoal and the resulting dust. Dust became the key visual of the exhibition design. Everything somehow emerged from it. It leaves traces. Just like the mining of raw materials leaves traces on earth. We made headlines out of dust by blowing them onto the wall and wrote individual texts with charcoal or chalk. Designing a lot by hand also allowed us to stay as climate friendly as possible.
